My Favorite AECP Technique – AECP Friends IG Hop

Hi everyone!

This hop is all about a favorite technique learned from the Academy. This is the card I created for this hop and it was inspired by the AECP Beautiful Details class. This class was one of my favorites as it taught me how to add those little details to my water colored or stamped images. I used colored pencils to enhance my water coloring on my card below.

After watercoloring the floral image from the Wallpaper Art stamp set, I tool some Prismacolor pencils , choosing the same color shades but a little darker than what I used for watercolor.

I added the pencil details in the inner parts of the flower and also the leaves. You can really see the difference it made below.

After finishing with all the details, I die-cut the flowers and leaves. For the background, I used the Organic Linen embossing folder and used the golden stream washi as an accent on the left side. I splattered a little gold metallic paint all over before adhering the floral elements. I added a sentiment “You are the Best”, from the Best Sentiments stamp set.
