Altenew Academy One-Layer Wonders

This online interactive class is being taught by the ultra-talented, super witty Kelly Latevola.

Day 2 of the class called for multi-colored stamping with a faux popped up sentiment.

First I made a sketch of what I had in mind, planning the layout keeping the dies in my stash in mind.

I decided on using a heart-shaped infinity die and Bold lower case letter die from Altenew.

Then I proceeded to cut out my mask using inkadinkado masking paper. (see photo) and attached the mask to my card base.

Then I proceeded to stamp my background image using distress inks in rainbow colors. The background stamp is Gradient Striped by Altenew.

Before I removed the mask, I traced the heart and the outline of the “hi” and the “friend”.

I removed the mask and traced the heart with two different shades of grays to achieve the shadow effect then I finished the card with multi-colored sequins.
