But for now I wanted to feature this beautiful Bonsai card. I die cut 2 pcs of the Bonsai out of Pitch black cardstock. Then I sprayed one of the die cuts with a combination of Spring Green + Gold and Green + Shimmer Tone-on-Tone Metallic Spray. The spray gave a gorgeous leaf texture to the die cut. Then I cut off the leaves and paper pieced them on another die cut piece but before painting the branches and the trunk with Gold Glimmer Ink. I also painted the pot with Red Glimmer ink and Gold.
I took a 4 1/4″X5 1/2″ piece of Pitch Black cardstock, then I use the 3’X3″ Rounded Jewel Infinity to die cut a window. I added splatters and painted the Gold Glimmer ink on the opening.
For the design behind the opening, I gold-heat embossed it using the Waves & Clouds bold prints stamp. I also used a laminating film behind the opening. The reason I used laminating film is because its more transluscent than vellum – it has a more frosted look.
The sentiment ” Happy Birthday” is gold-heat embossed on Pitch black cardstock. The sentiment of from the You’re Magical stamp set.
