Hello! I have a fun card to share with you today. I do not have the fall season where I live. Basically we only have two seasons, wet & dry! But I love the look of fall. My first experience and pretty much my only experience with fall was several years ago when my family and I took a trip to the US around early October. We toured the New England area and that time the leaves were turning and I was in awe of its beauty.
And it’s that beauty I wanted to capture for this card. For this card, I use the Glimmer Hot Foiling machine to hot foil the background image of a wreath of fall leaves from the collection of new hot foil plates from Hero Arts called Leafy Branches. I used a copper foil on a panel on Pumpkin Hero Hues cardstock.

Before I worked on the main element of my card, I inkblended the edges of the panel with distress oxide inks. First with Fired Brick, followed by Aged Mahogany in the corners. I also ink blended the middle of the wreath using the same combination of inks.
For the flower, I used the Foliage & Flowers dies. I used a combination of several types of paper for the different layers of the flower. For the larger of the petals, I used a copper mirror cardstock and also cut it out of the same orange cardstock. Then I also die cut the smaller of the petal layers with copper mirror cardstock. The last and top layer, I used some of my hoarded foiled vellum sheets from Rosie’s Studio. I then cut one petal cluster using Copper Glitter carstock from the Glitter Paper Fall pack, cut it apart and will used the middle part for the center of the flower. I also used the same specialty cardstocks to cut the leaves but instead of the Pumpkin, I used the Pine Hero Hues for the leaves.

Before I layered the flowers and leaves onto the panel, I heat embossed the edges of some of the petal layers and also the edges of the panel. Then I adhered the layers of the flower, alternating the petals to create a fuller look. Then I added the leaves and the other elements like the berries all around the flower.

For the sentiment, I die cut the word HAPPY from the Celebrate Words die set three times, layered it to create dimension then heat embossed the bottom half using copper embossing powder. The word “fall” is from the latest Hero Arts My Monthly Hero September 2022 kit.
