Where Has the Summer Gone? Concord & 9th Summer Weekender Bags

Hello friends! It’s been a week since I got back from a vacation. As I mentioned in my previous post, we spent a month and half in Spain. And when I left it was the beginning of summer. I come back home and here we are now in Monsoon season so it’s been raining a lot. But I don’t mind, I kinda missed the rain as Spain was hot and very very dry.

Having said that I do have a fun summer project and it’s not a card! I finally got around to using the Concord & 9th weekender bag dies which was launched about a year ago!

One of the things I love about creating these cute little “paper” bags, is that I get to use pattern paper that I have been hoarding for years! The bag featured below is made with pattern paper with a tropical print, paired brown textured cardstock from an old 12″X12″ DCWV paper pad.

This next one is made out of an even older pattern paper paired with a light tan cardstock from the same DCWV plain paper pad.

And last but not least, this one was made using a pattern paper I bought about 5 years ago on a whim – I just liked that it had different denim fabric patterns. I never got to use it because, well, I realized I didn’t have any projects that needed a denim pattern – not until now!

These little bags are perfect for wedding showers or baby showers — all that is needed is to change the print of the pattern paper to suite the occasion. In the bag below, a lipstick or lip balm fits perfectly inside, along with a little gift card.

You can find a video on how to assemble these cute weekender bags in the Concord & 9th Youtube channel. I am telling you, once you start making them – it’s hard to stop!

I have the die set linked below, just in case, you are interested in purchasing them to create these adorable Summer Weekender bags. They are currently 50% off in the Concord & 9th website so grab them now before it’s gone forever!

Speaking of Summer bags, Concord & 9th has another die set to create these paper everyday purses. These were the first ones they launched about 2 years ago. I have a blog post on that linked here. They are also 50% off at the Concord & 9th website linked below!

I hope you were inspired by my non-card project!

‘Til next time!

❤️
