See-thru Tri-fold Birthday Card: Hero Arts My Monthly Hero April 2022 kit

Hi friends! I’m back with another inspiration for the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero kit! This month I used every element in the kit. The kit contains a beautiful floral background cling stamp with coordinating dies including a sentiment die, sentiment stamp set, three layering stencils, three mini ink cubes, a blending brush and enamel dots embellishments. Here is a snapshot of the contents of the kit.

The only items I used outside of the kit was the Birthday Message coverplate die. I used it to create the window of this see-thru tri-fold birthday card. Though the techniques I used in my project can easily be adopted to any other similar items you may have in oyur stash.

One of my favorite kind of card to make is one with a see-thru window- be it a scene card or a shaker card. I wanted to try something a bit different, so I decided why not a window card with acetate, but not just any acetate, but a printed one!

I have a video below where I show a step by step tutorial on how I created this card. I used some heat resistant acetate to stamp and heat emboss the outline of the florals. Just make sure your heat gun is good and hot and that you keep moving it so that the acetate won’t have a chance to melt.

As for the stenciled image on the inside, I used all the ink colors that came in the kit, Rose Madder and Cotton Candy for the flowers, Green Apple for the leaves.

I tied it all on together but stamping the flowers using the cling stamp, stenciling it and then doing some selective die cutting. The bee also comes with a coordinating die.
