Hello my dear crafty friends, it’s been a difficult few weeks. As some of you who have been reading my blog for awhile, know that crafting and cardmaking is my therapy. My dear father passed away March 30, on my birthday. He was my rock and my hero.. and I still cannot believe that he is gone. When my youngest brother and my best friend passed away last October 2019, I turned to cardmaking to help me get through it. This time is no different. I had to create something that would take me away from my troubles, even for just awhile.
When I saw this beautiful Magnolia Branches cover plate die from Hero Arts, I knew at once I had to have it. It’s so incredibly detailed and it can be a little intimidating to color.

I have a technique I want to share that makes coloring this super easy. I used Zig Clean Color Brush Markers to color the die-cut panel. I have a video below that will show you the technique I used.
Here are additional photos of the shaker card I created.

Thank you for dropping by my blog and I hope you were inspired!
’til next time!
