Day at the Museum: Hero Arts My Monthly Hero March 2022 Kit & IG Hop

Hi everyone! This month’s Hero Arts My Monthly Hero kit is all about museums! It’s a unique and fun kit and all the add-ons are also museum/art themed. We, the Hero Arts Global Team is having an IG hop, I have all the details at the end of my blog post.

I love the fancy cover die in the kit, it is so veratile and it also comes with embossing powders and embossing ink. With this die, I decided to try something I have been wanting to try for a long time, a shutter-fold card!

I have a video showing how I created this fun interactive card!

Here are more close-ups of the card.

I hope this inspired you to give the shutter-fold card a try. There are so many ways to change it up, you can even add a stamped scene or even a photograph!

My inspiration for my next card is the art of Belgian surrelist artist, Rene Magritte.

For the background of my card, I used the Passing Clouds cling stamp and stamped it with Mermaid Ombre Ink. I used a square die from the Square Infinity die set that was slightly larger than the opening of the Museum Frame Fancy die that I had die cut using pitch black cardstock.

I adhered the die-cut stamped clouds then added the frame popped up with foam tape but not before I stamped out the sentiment with Intens-ified black ink. I added the bowler hat whish I also stamped with the same ink, fussy cut it out and adhered it to the middle using foam tape. Both the sentiment and the bowler hat are from the Creative Quotes stamp set.

As mentioned at the beginning of my blog post, the Hero Arts Global team is having a hop over on Instagram! Hero Arts has so graciously sponsored a $50 gift card for our hop. We have a lot of fun museum/art inspired projects for you! You will be amazed with the ideas from my fellow teamies! I will link the start of the hop here.

See you there!

‘Til next time!

Anna
