A Piece of My Heart: A Blog Named Hero Challenge

Hello! It’s time for another A Blog Named Hero challenge and this month is creating texture on your projects using your favorite products from Hero Arts! There are many ways to add texture and one way is to use dies, in this case, cover dies to make an otherwise clean and simple card to something a little more special! More details on how to join the challenge at the end of my blog post.

For my card inspiration, I used the Hero Arts Puzzle Fancy Die to die cut a panel of Dove White cardstock. I adhered the die cut panel onto a piece of printer paper. This keeps the pieces of the puzzle in place.

I used the second to the largest die from the Heart Infinity die set to die cut a heart out of Cherry Red cardstock. Then using the same heart die, I cut out a matching piece out of pink craft foam. I adhered the carft foam heart to the back of the red heart using liquid glue. Then using the Puzzle cover die, I die cut the craft foam heart at an angle.

I used Rasberry Jam dye ink and inkblended the edges of the heart to give it more depth. I then adhered the heart to the white puzzle cut background making sure it matched but not before I removed a piece. The sentiment “I miss you” was stamped with Intens-ified black ink and adhered to the bottom part of the heart with double sided foam tape. This sentiment is from the Sea You Soon stamp set.
