Altenew Plentiful Patterns Stand-alone Dies/Stencils Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hi everyone! The Altenew release this month is super fun! This time I am going bold with my design inspirations! If you are following along on the blog hop, you have just come from the wonderful Tina Smith. If somehow you get lost along the way, you can start over at the Altenew blog. There you will find more information on this fantastic release!

You will notice that all my card inspirations for this release all have the same color scheme – a bold rainbow palette.

For my first card, I ink blended a panel of white cardstock with a blending tool using crisp dye inks. I started with Honey Drizzle at the bottom, then Snap Dragon, followed by Rubellite & Deep Iris. And finished it off with Ultraviolet & Arctic Mountain at the top of the panel.

Then I took the first of the two layering stencils from the Brick Rosette stencil set and positioned it in the middle of my cardstock but not before applying anti-static powder. Then I took a small blending tool and inked it up with embossing ink and applied it to the stencil, making sure each part of the open area in the stencil was well belnded with embossing ink. Then I took the Antique Gold embossing powder and sprinkled it on top and heat set it.

I took the second stencil, lined it up with the pattern, applied embossing ink, sprinkled with Silver embossing powder, then heat set it. I gold heat embossed the sentiment “Smile” from the Circled Sentiment set, die cut it and adhered it to the middle of the card. Then I matted the whole panel on Jet black cardstock.

My second card is clean, simple and super shiny! I taped the edges of a piece of black 4.25″X 5.5″ black cardstock with 1″ washi tape. Then I used the Metallic watercolor starting with Copper at the bottom, then transitioning to Garnet, Rhodolite and Topaz. Then finally Amethyst at the top. I removed the washi tape very carefully once the panel was dry. Then I die cut the branches of the Itty Bitty Flowers die set twice out of black cardstock and adhered it on top of the metallic watercolors. I stamped the sentiment “HELLO” with Obsidian Ink & heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. The sentiment is from the Fresh Bloom stamp set.

My third card is a little different from the first two but I did use the same color family of inks from the first card. The Impressionist Bouquet is a beautiful stencil set! I ink blended the flowers using a combination of Andromeda, Hydrangea, Wisteria and Rubellite crisp dye inks. For the middle of the flower, I used Honey Drizzle & Snap Dragon. The leaves and stem are Parrot & Olive which is from the Tropical Forest mini ink cube set.

I wanted to add some bling so I used the last of the layering stencil and blended in embossing ink and heat set it using Rose Gold Embossing powder. I used the Mix & Match frame die set for the background, die cut it from a combination of white and gold mirror cardstock. The sentiment You are Loved is from the Eucalyptus Jar stamp set also heat embossed with Rose Gold Embossing Powder.

Here is another card i created with this release. I used the different papers from the Dreamy Sunset paper pad and paper pieced the die cuts from the Wave Form die. Then I added the die cut sentiment “HELLO” from the Hello Hugs die set. The font of this particular sentiment die is perfectly matched with the waves design.

Don’t forget, there are $300 in total prizes to be won! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 2 lucky winners and a $25 gift certificate to 8 winners!
