Hi everyone! We are once again mid-way through our A Blog Named Hero June challenge!

When I was growing up, whenever my siblings or I got a bad cold, my parents would always take us down to the beach and make us swim in the ocean for some good ol’ vitamin sea. And now that I have a family of my own, it’s the same for my kids too! We always make time for vitamin sea! This is what inspired my card for today.
I love experimenting with techniques, some turn out great so I turn them into finished projects. Those that did not quite make the cut, I would throw into a bin along with other “failed” experiments. This was the perfect opportunity to dig them out!

First, I white-heat embossed images from the Sea You, Need a Hand and My Monthly Hero May 2021 kit on one of the ink-smooshed panels. I then die-cut them out using the coordinating dies.

I took two more backgrounds and die-cut two panels using the Swirling Tide fancy cover die. I used one panel for the first layer and turned the other panel for the other layer. Then I adhered acetate sheets behind each of the layers. This would give my stamped and die-cut images something to adhere to.
I took one of the ink smooshed backgrounds and white-heat embossed the sentiment “salt water heals everything”, also from the MMH Hero May 2021 kit.

I adhered the images onto each panel layer, making sure that the images were placed strategically around the sentiment. I also tore pieces of vellum and used the Blue Pearl & Underwater Embossing powder (both from previous MMH kits) to ground the corals and shells.

Then I added thin strips of foam tape at the back of each of the panels. I placed some flat iridescent sequins on each layer before I adhered them.

I just love how this turned out and how it looks almost like a shadow box card. I hope you were inspired to give this a try!
Hope to see all your wonderful projects at the A Blog Named Hero gallery!
I am also entering this card in the Hero Arts STAY CRAFTY with Hero challenge – For the guys!
Have a wonderful, crafty day!
‘Til next time!
