A few years ago, Altenew released a Peruvian Lily Stamp set and I fell absolutely in love with that set — so when I was asked to be part of this blog hop for the Craft-a-Flower version, I was so excited, I just had to say yes!!
Whenever I receive a new floral layering die, the first thing I do is die-cut all the layers using cardstock scraps. I use the layering guide to familiarize myself with all the different layers. I adhere it to a piece of copy paper and place it inside the stamp pocket along with the guide. I also make notes on the margin of colors I used.. combinations to try or little details to look out for when layering them.
This card is my very first mini slimline! And so far I am loving this size!

I die cut all the elements of the flower from scrap cardstock. I have so much of those that I am always so excited to use them up for all the Craft-a-flower dies. This particular set is so easy to put together, yet it looks complicated.
For the background of my card, I took the Many Dots washi tape and adhered it on some white cardstock. Since this is narrower than a piece of 3.5″X6″ cardstock, I adhered two strips side by side and trimmed it to the 3.5″X 6″ which is the standard size of a mini slimline. I trimmed of about a fourth of an inch on all sides and mounted it on a side folding black card base. Then I added the “Sending Love & Hugs” sentiment from the Best Sentiments set.

Here is another card I created, using the left over strip of washi from my first mini slim line project. I used the Waffled Diamonds embossing folder as the backdrop of my flower. I added some black dot embellishments as a final touch.

These cards were so easy to put together but yet make such a huge impact – thanks to the beautiful CAF Peruvian Lily. A definite must have in your collection!

Hi Anna, I could not chose between both of your card they were equally beautiful, well the one with 2 lillies is probably where I’m leaning because you used different colors for each lily and that really makes the card pop. They are both truly a work of art, Thanks for sharing and inspiring us.
