Simply Krafty! A Blog Named Hero June Challenge

It’s the first of the month and time for the A Blog Named Hero Challenge. This month’s theme is Monochrome!

My card inspiration for you is a simple one layer card. A very simple technique you can do with any colored cardstock.

I used the Hero Arts Beautiful Day Agapanthus stamp set and white heat embossed one of the blooms two times side by side on kraft cardstock. I also did the same with the sentiment “Sending well wishes your way”.

I took a brown colored pencil and filled in each flower. And with a very light touch, I created shadows around the blooms.

I made sure my pencil was kept very sharp as this allowed me to pencil in shadows for the sentiment as well. Here is a close-up of my card for a better look at all the details.

To create the glow around the top of the blooms, I used a white colored pencil.

Then I used a white gelly roll pen to add little dots around the blooms. This created a more magical effect on the image.
