My inspiration for this hop is to create a beautiful backdrop for the lovely layering flowers in the stamp set. It’s a super easy and fun technique that can get you two backgrounds using background or cover dies as stencils.

First, I stamped out the flowers in the set with Obsidian Ink. This ink is absolutely amazing and its my favorite black ink to use for outline images. Before stamping the color layers , I suggest to let the ink dry a little. These are the colors of inks I used for the flowers: Pink Pearl for the first layer, Coral Bliss for the second layer and Heart Beat for the final layer. For the leaves I used Butternut, Marshland and Sea Foam respectively.. The middle of the flower, I used the Aqualicious and Sea Foam.
I created the background using the Layered Snowflake Stars cover die A & B. I die-cut out both layers out of sturdy white cardstock. I used these as stencils for the background of my cards. First, I used the A layer and ink blended on a piece of white cardstock using Teal Cave and Aqualicious crisp dye ink. I started darker on the top getting lighter towards the bottom. Then I took B layer, placed it on top of the ink blended background and ink blended it using the same Teal Cave ink.

Then I sprinkled water onto the panel and dabbed it off with a paper towel. This gave the background the look and feel of watercolor.

I added the flower and leaves the bottom part of my card with a strip of black cardstock with the sentiment “Thank You” heat embossed with with white crisp embossing powder.
I didn’t want the “stencils” to go to waste so I used it for a background on another card. I adhered it to a white card base.

Then added the flower and leaves to the bottom of the card. The “Kind Thanks” and “you are the best” sentiments are from the stamp set.

I had so much fun creating with this stamp set and it is so easy to layer, I was able to stamp multiples!
