Dimensional Shaker Cards & My Monthly Hero March 2019 kit

Hi! I’m back with a new project using the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Kits. But this project works with any stamps you have in your stash where you can create scenes. You can even change the shape of the window.

For my first card, I used the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero March 2019 kit. This is such a wonderful kit to create underwater or aquarium scenes.

For the background, I was inspired by Jennifer Mcguire off-set stamping method. I used the Pearl String Cling Stamp and stamped it on blue cardstock using HA Unicorn White pigment Ink. I wiped off the ink then re positioned my paper on the Misti just a “smidge” and inked up the stamp with HA Blue Reactive Ink. This created like a “shadow” effect behind the bubbles to give it some dimension.

For the images in the kit, I stamped them using a variety of HA Ombre Inks to create the gradient effect.

For the windows, I used the HA Rectangle Infinity Die. These Infinity Dies are a definite must-have in your stash. I cannot tell you enough how much I get out of these dies! The outer window was first die cut using the Simon Says Stamp Wonky die. Then I used the Infinity die to die cut a window. I backed both windows with clear plastic taken from those plastic bags my stamps come in.

Before I assembled the shaker card, heat embossed the sentiment using a sentiment from the kit. Then I proceeded to layer my little die cuts, as I assembled the shaker card, starting with the bottom layer.

Hope you can give this a try! Its a super fun way and easy to add that extra oomph to your shaker cards!

‘Til next time!

❤️
