Hello! The Hero Arts Creative Team is celebrating the release of the December Hero Studio with a blog hop! If you are hopping along with us, you have just come from Channin’s blog.

This month’s Hero Studio release has a souper fun theme! I created two cards using contents of the card kit and another card using the December Cling Stamp of the Month paired with the stencil of the month.

Let’s take a quick look at this month’s kit.

Contents of the kit:

– You’re Souper Clear Stamp Set
– You’re Souper Coordinating Dies
– Big Squishy Hugs Die Set
– Brown Acrylic Speckle, .5 oz.
– 10 Sheets of Cardstock- 1 of each color, 5.5″ x 8.5″ (Poppy, Pomegranate, Carrot, Terra Cotta, Cinnamon, Beeswax, Saffron, Tuscan, Truffle, Alabaster)

I took inspiration for my cards from the Pop Art movement, which was all about bold colors and graphic images pulled from popular culture.

I stamped the images I needed to create my cards on a piece of Alabaster cardstock using Intens-ified Black Ink. Then I used Spicy Mustard Core Ink to stamp the soup and Caramel ink for the soup swirls. For decorative elements on the pot, I used Moss Core Ink.

I kept the card simple and bold, I die cut a panel of Poppy cardstock using the scallop rectangular infinity dies and then added it on top of a moss green cardstock with dimensional foam. Then I adhered the pot right in the middle. I die cut the arms holding the pot out of Fawn cardstock. Then I added the sentiment “Get Well Soon” right in the middle of the soup.

For the second card, I stamped a large pot, bowl and spoon with Intens-ified Black Ink and Pale Tomato ink for the soup base and Cranberry Ink for the swirls. The decorative elements were stamped with Spicy Mustard & Moss Inks.

I die cut a panel of Fawn cardstock using the Scallop rectangular infinity die and adhered it on top of Saffron cardstock. Then I added the soup bowls and spoon and below that the sentiment “You’re Souper” stamped and die cut using the coordinating die.

For my third and final card, I used the Cling Stamp of the Month called “Dotty”. I used Unicorn White Pigment ink on Poppy cardstock and Cranberry Ink on Beeswax cardstock. Cut them in half and joined them together to create the background. I then ink blended using the same colors on the on the different layers of the Stencil of the Month “Pop Art Cans”, cut them out and adhered it to the middle in order to create the focal point of the card. Then added the sentiment “You’re Souper” in the middle.
