Hi! I know it seems a little early for Christmas but the new Holiday Catalogue from Hero Arts is just the thing to get you into the holiday spirit!
Welcome to my blog! You have just come from the wonderful and talented Seeka. I have two cards to share with you today.
One of my favorite items in the Holiday catalogue are these Gold Trim Ornament Fancy Dies. A definite must-have in my holiday crafty stash.
First, I die cut three of the ornaments out of silver mirror cardstock and three different colored cardstock – Papaya, Canary & Azalea. Then I paper pieced the design but selectively trimming parts of the ornament from the silver mirror cardstock.

Next, I die cut the two types of pine needles from the Winter Foliage Stamp & Cut XL set. I used Kiwi and Meadow.
Then I cut down a panel of Nautical cardstock to a little less than 4″x5.25″ and used silver embossing powder to heat emboss the edges. I sprinkled some water on the panel and used the same silver embossing powder to create a snowy background for my ornaments.

Next, I added some silver heat embossing powder to the branches and for the string of the ornaments, I used an embossing pen. The sentiment “Good Tidings and Cheer” is from the Winter Foliage Stamp & Cut XL set.

Then I adhered all the elements together and matted it with silver mirror and another layer of the Nautical cardstock.
For the second card, I decided to make it a little simpler. I used the 4-pc color layering Poinsettia Window Stencil set and inkblended the design using Hero Arts Core Inks – Azalea & Cherry for the Poinsettias, Butter Bar for the berries and Green Apple & Moss for the leaves.

Then to add extra shine, I took a watermark pen and added details on the pine needles, the Poinsettias and the berries. I also added dots around the design. Then I heat embossed it using Gold Embossing Powder. If you don’t have a versamark watermark pen, you can use a glue pen.

The sentiment “Have a beautiful Christmas” is from the Stamp & Cut XL set. Then I trimmed the panel and matted it with gold mirror cardstock on a white card base.

Hero Arts will be giving away two $50 gift cards, drawn from the comments left along the hop. Comment on all the blogs for more chances to win! You have until Thursday, August 31 at 11:59pm to enter. The winners will be announced on the Hero Arts blog.
Next stop on the hop is the lovely Arjita.
Hope you were inspired by all the lovely projects so far!
Have a wonderful crafty day!
‘Til next time!
❤️
