Fun Flip-fold Card: Paper Rose Studio Christmas Tree Farm Collection

Hello crafty friends! Today I have two fun fold cards to share with you. Both are what I would call a Flip-fold design – one is a beginner or easy flip fold technique and the other is a little more complicated. I will be using the wonderful Christmas Tree Farm Collection from Paper Rose Studio for both my cards.

Flip-fold Card #1:

On a side-folding A2 size card, I drew a vertical line with pencil across at the front of the card panel at the half way point at 2 1/8″. Then I took a circle die that was slightly bigger than the die cut element I was going to use as my focal point and placed it down right in the middle of the pencil line. Then I opened up the card panel, took it to my die cutting machine and die cut only the right side of the circle by placing the top cutting plate only on the right side using the line as a guide.

This is what is looks with the right side die cut out.

Then I decorated the panel using the die cut elements from the Christmas Tree Farm Die quick cards die-cuts collection. I used the circle dies as well to die cut the pattern paper from the 6×6 Paper pad in the same collection.

Flip-fold Card #2:

This one would be a little more complicated but still have the same effect.

Start with a 6 1/2″ by 5 1/2″ cardstock panel. Score at 2 1/8th & 3 1/8th. Then place the circle die on top of the two scored lines – one side slightly bigger than the other side as shown in the photo below.

Next, I placed the panel on my die cutting machine and placed the top plate on one side using the fold line as a guide to cut it out.

Then I did the same for the other side. This fun fold design was inspired from a very old die from sizzix. But that die was for a square and I made my own this time a circle.
