Hello! Today I’m sharing two cards I created using the latest release from Hero Arts called “Summer by the Shore”. The Hero Arts Creative Team is having a hop over on Instagram to celebrate the new release. Details of the hop at the end of my blog post.
I used the beautiful Scattered Seashells hot foil + letterpress plate using the Pastel Mint from the Satin Pastels Variety pack. This foil is quite translucent which allows the color of the cardstock to show through.
For the first card, I foiled the Pastel Mint on Waterfall cardstock from Spellbinders. Then I die cut it using the second largest of the Scalloped Infinity Nesting die.
Then I used the Message in a Bottle die set to die cut the bottle and the other elements including the flower. I used vellum for the bottle itself, then Lavander and Lilac cardstock to die cut the flower, Teal Topaz for the leaves. The bottle cap and tie, is a combination of Alabaster and Kraft.
The shells are die cut from Alabaster & Kraft using the Sophisticated Shells die set. Then I added the sentiment “Miss You” from the Banner Days Stamp & Cut white heat embossed on Nautical cardstock from Hero Arts. Then matted the whole panel in The same color cardstock to complete the look.
For my second card, I used the negative foil leftover from the Scattered Seashells and foiled it on Teal Topaz Cardstock. Then I die cut it using the Scalloped Infinity Nesting die.
For the Paper Message Roll is die cut from Alabaster and Kraft cardstock, which is also from the Message in a Bottle die set.
Then I die cut the flowers using Lilac & Lavender cardstock and the leaves using Teal Topaz.
The sentiment “Sending Birthday Wishes” is from the Banner Days Stamp & Cut set white heat-embossed on Nautical cardstock. Then matted it on the same Nautical cardstock.
