Shaker Cassette Tape: Hero Arts Mix Tape Dies

Hello friends! I have a fun retro card for you today and it’s a shaker! I’ll be using the Hero Arts July 2025 Die Set of the Month – Mix Tape!

If you are an 80’s girl like me, this die will bring back lots of memories! I had to include a pencil in my photo, because we all know what that is for!

First, I die cut all the elements I need to assemble the cassette tape. I used the die that is meant to cut out the label for the tape, to cut out the middle of the cassette. This will create a window for the shaker bits to show through.

Next I assembled the cassette and added clear acetate at the back. Then I added thin strips of dimensional tape all around the back of window to seal in the shaker bits.

For the background, I used Creamsicle Reactive Ink, inked up the Cling Stamp of the Month, Cobblestone Courtyard, and stamped it on a panel of Spellbinders Beeswax cardstock which I already cut to a little less than 4″x5.25″. Then I used a corner rounder to round out the corners and matted it with black cardstock.

To assemble the shaker, I placed the shaker bits, clay confetti that came in an old Hero Arts My Monthly Hero kit and placed the cassette tape on top on a slight angle. Then placed the hello sentiment below which I cut out of black cardstock and added a teal shadow.

Hope you were inspired to give this a try!

Have a wonderful crafty day!

Til next time!

❤️

Anna
