Hi crafty friends! I am sharing a shaker card I created using the What’s Cookin’ Stamp & Cut set from the Hero Arts June 2025 release. The Hero Arts Creative Team is having a hop ver on Instagram to celebrate the new release. Details of the hop at the end of my blog post.
For the background of my card, I used the Retro Rainbow Layering Stencil and ink-blended each layer with the following Reactive Inks, with Lemon Drop, Creamsicle, Key Lime Fizz and Splash.
Next, I stamped out most of the cooking and baking icons from the What’s Cookin’ Stamp & Cut set with Intens-ified Black Ink on Neena classic cladstick and then colored them using alcohol markers. I did very simple coloring but still using colors that closely matched the colors I used for the background.
Then I took the coordinating dies and die cut them out. I die cut one more set from plain white cardstock and added them to the die cut icons to give them some extra dimension.
Next, I used the second to the largest, Scallop Rectangle Infinity die and die cut it using a 4.25″x5.5″ piece of white cardstock. Then I ink-blended the same colors I used on the stencil on the inner part of the scallop window frame. I glued a piece of acetate at the back of the window, then added foam tape the back all around the frame. I put all the icons on top of the rainbow background, added some coordinating sequins, then place the scallop frame on top.
I took the Creamsicle, Key Lime and Splash Reactive ink cubes, swiped them on a piece of white cardstock until fully inked up, the stamped the sentiment “Mixing Up Some Fun” on each of colored pieces, cut them out and added them to the front of the shaker widow. And that finishes off my card.
