Bee-utiful Collage Cards: Paper Rose Studio Bees & Butterflies Collection

Hello! I have a set of cards to share using the Paper Rose Studio Bees & Butterflies Collection.

I had so much fun creating these cards. I am calling them “collage” cards, because I put all the left over elements from my last journal/folio project into these cards.

Card #1:

For the background, I used the Floral Clusters 3D embossing folder from Paper Rose. I inked up the raised side of the embossing foldee using three different inks from Hero Arts, Butter Bar and Papaya. Then I ran it thru my die cutting machine with white cardstock. The colors then transferred to the debossed areas of the cardstock panel.

Next, I die cut a small frame out of yellow cardstock using the stitched square die, added vellum and then a piece of pattern paper.

I then arranged all the elements and glued them down. I used foam tape on some of the ephemera to add dimension.

Then I added the sentiment “HELLO” which is from the All Occasions Sentiments pack.

Card #2

I decided to make a shaker for the second card. I die cut a much larger stitched square frame and used it to make a shaker element, but instead of using acetate, I decided for a more subtle effect and used vellum instead.

For the background of the card, I dry embossed white cardstock using the Tufted 3D embossing folder.

I put together a small collage of elements from the Embossed die cuts pack and adhered them down beside the shaker element. Then I added the sentiment “Birthday Wishes” which was from the same All Occasions Sentiments pack.

Card #3

I used mostly left over ephemera and paper scraps for the third card.
