There are $200 in total prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 2 lucky winners and a $20 gift certificate to 5 winners! The Clematis is a type of vine. That is what makes this stamp set a little bit more unique than the other stamps in the PAF series. They included the trellis as a backdrop for the flowers.

I have a quick and simple card inspiration for you today! I used the stamp set in a slighly different way, offsetting the floral clusters on either corners of the black cardstock. I used Antique Gold Embossing powder which pairs beautifully with the Altenew Metallic watercolors.

Check out how simple it is to create this in my video below! Hope you enjoy my tutorial!

I started with using the Jade metallic color for the leaves. I took care not to use too much water as the cardstock I was using was not watercolor paper. The beautiful thing about metallic watercolors, the less water you use, the more intense the shine specially on dark surfaces.

After watercoloring the leaves, I took the Copper metallic color and painted the middle of the flowers. After that I used the Amethyst metallic color for the outer part of the petal. Then I took some Gold Pearl paint also from the same palette and splattered it all over the card.

I stamped the sentiment “Strong is the new Beautiful” also from the same stamp set with embossing ink and heat embossed it with Antique Gold embossing powder. I did the same with the edges of a piece of white cardstock and matted the panel with it to match the heat embossing.

I hope this project inspired you! And though this is my last project as guest designer, I hope you do come again and visit me for more inspiration!

Next stop on the hop is the wonderful Lilith Eckels.

‘Til next time!

  9. What a striking card! Leaving the trellis as just gold embossed lines is perfect for this card to let the flowers literally shine. Your layout is very appealing as well. Thanks for the great ideas.
